About So Shine Before Men

read excerpt from so shine before men

In Washington, the Speaker of the House dies in a freakish accident while, two-hundred miles away on Wall Street, a wunderkind trader of casino stocks is fired after rolling up a hundred million dollars of losses. These seemingly unconnected events entrap Stanley Harwood, brilliant and aggressive young White House staffer, in a nexus of politics, power, and money.

As Election Day nears and aging incumbent Republican President Williams sinks deeper in the polls, Harwood insinuates himself into Williams’ campaign strategy with a “secret plan” to turn the tide and keep Williams in office. But the assassination of a key player in Harwood’s plan pushes President Williams deeper into despair, risking not only the reputations, but the lives, of everyone working to support Williams and threatens to unravel the interrelationship between the election campaign, the deaths, and a massive stock market manipulation.

Comments

"Great bad guys, great heroes,
and lots of grey area between
on real humans - trying to do the
right thing, it seems, but bogged
down by life, ethics, conflicts, that
kind of stuff. Anyway, this is a
MUST READ."
-Arthur Taylor

"I love political thrillers but have
gotten tired of the light weight
writing that usually floods the
category. I found this book
to be very stimulating and
satisfying. Keep'em comin'
Mr. Terry."
-Marc A Diaz
